Il cavallo e l'uomo è il titolo di una sezione tematica del Museo Civico "Gustavo VI Adolfo di Svezia".

Nasce dalla necessità di documentare un insieme di relazioni complesse altrimenti destinato all'oblio, con lo scopo di far conoscere, salvaguardare e rivitalizzare il rapporto uomo-cavallo in un territorio fortemente caratterizzato dalla presenza di questo nobile animale.

Il progetto museografico tuttavia non mira solo alla conservazione ma vuole soprattutto comunicare al visitatore usi, costumi ed esperienze coinvolgenti. Accanto ai mezzi di informazione tradizionaliquali i pannelli, gli oggetti e le didascalie, si fa ampio uso di computer, audiovisivi, diorami e diffusione di suoni ambientali, il tutto contenuto in un ambiente scandito da soluzioni strutturali moderne di considerevole valore estetico e funzionale.

La struttura museale si divide in due settori: il primo, al piano superiore, dedicato alla preistoria e alla protostoria;  il secondo, al piano inferiore, e nell'area scoperta, riservato all'età moderna e contemporanea che esplora gli aspetti folklorici della Maremma e della Campagna Romana.

Horse and man is the title of a section of the "Gustavo VI Adolfo di Svezia" Civic Museum.

Borne of the desire to document an ensemble of complex relationship otherwise destined to oblivion, this display has the aim of divulging, safeguarding and revitalising the man-horse relationship in a region strongly  characterised by the presence of thin noble animal.

This graphic project doesn't only aim to preserve, but above all wants to involve the visitors by  experiencing the customs and folklore of this Region.

Next to the tradizional ways to trasmitting information, such as light panels, objects and  captions there will be full use of computer audiovisuals and ambient sound, all of this contained in modern surroundings of considerable aesthetic  and functional value.

 The museum layout is divide into two sections: the top floor is dedicated to prehistory and protohistory; the ground floor and open area reserved for the modern and contemporary era and explores the folklore of the Maremma and Roman countryside.
